INTAN JAYA - In a remarkable display of service and dedication, the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad Task Forces, under the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, extended a helping hand to the residents of Emondi Village in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province, on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Alongside their security patrols, the Soldiers distributed packages of essential goods, bringing smiles and hope to the community.
Led by First Lieutenant Abdian and guided by orders from Task Forces Commander Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, the Bilogai Post planned and executed a patrol combined with a community outreach program. As the Soldiers entered Emondi Village, they were met with warm and joyful welcomes from the residents eager to connect and communicate directly with their protectors.
The highlight of the visit was the distribution of free basic necessities. These packages, prepared with care, were a source of immense joy for the locals, who expressed their gratitude openly. Mr. Rio Sondegau, one of the recipients, shared his heartfelt appreciation, saying, “Praise God, thank you, Commander 509, for the packages. God bless.”
The HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the initiative, emphasizing the importance of such programs in strengthening the bond between the Armed Forces and the community. He stated, “The 509 Task Forces’ initiative reflects TNI’s unwavering commitment to meeting the people’s needs while fostering development and unity in Papua.”
